sad news

Marshall and I received some very sad news this morning. One of Marshall's dearest friends from childhood passed away unexpectedly. As we try to cope with this loss, thank you for understanding that we are not in the mood for blogging.

Where you going this summer?

In the summer of 2012 Marshall and I are reaping the rewards of years of frequent flier mile hoarding and reward point saving and embarking on a trip around the world.

Inspired by my favorite childhood computer game, Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego? and Matt Lauer's adventures on the Today Show, we will post pictures and clues of the various destinations of our adventure and encourage our friends and family to guess our location.

Our travel plans include 12 flight segments, 8 countries over 22 days and 25,000 miles with only a backpack of clothes each.
